Every year January 1st is the New Year’s Day. New Year’s Day is the first day in a year， which people regard it as the beginning of the whole year. It is a holiday for memories and for hopes. Chinese always believe that a good beginning will make a whole year become smoothly. So， it is an important festival that nearly everyone will have a day off.
As it is important， people have figured out many ways to celebrate it. Some people will celebrate it with families and some will celebrate with friends. No matter what kind of celebrating way， it will be full of happiness.
For me， I only have one day off， and I study far away from my family， so I can’t celebrate this special day with my family. But I will do it with my friends. On the New Year’s Day， we are going to going hiking or go shopping. It is certain that we call our family to share the enjoyment for the first day.
每年的1月1日是元旦。元旦是一年中的第一天，人们把它当作是一年的开始。元旦是一个对过去充满回忆、对未来充满期待的一个节日。中国人总是觉得一个好的开始可以使接下来的一整年顺顺利利的。所以，那是一个很重要的节日，几乎每个人都会有一天假。
由于其重要性，大家想了很多方式来庆祝。有些人会和家人一起庆祝而有些则会与朋友一起庆祝。无论用什么样的方式庆祝，都是充满欢乐的。
对我来说，我只有一天休息，而且我家里离我学校很远，所以我不能和我的家人一起庆祝这个特别的日子。不过我会和我朋友一起庆祝。我们计划在元旦前夕吃一顿丰盛的晚餐。然后我们会呆在一起聊天之后一起新年倒计时。在元旦那天，我们会去远足或者逛街。我们肯定会打电话给我们的家人一起分享。
